As clubs prepare for the new 2020/2021 Premier League season, teams have started playing some friendly matches with other teams, so they can improve their fitness before the new season starts in earnest.
As teams starts these preseason matches, Chelsea faced fellow Premier League side, Brighton and Hove Albion in a a very competitive but friendly game.
The match saw the introduction of some of Chelsea’s new signings, Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech, where both were involved in Chelsea’s first and only goal, as Ziyech’s nicely weighted pass was coolly brought down to Werner by Hudson Doing, and Werner did not hesitate to score to make it 0-1.
But the game changed in the second half, as Rudiger was introduced, 2 minutes into the game’s second half he committed a foul that caused a penalty that was saved by Cabellero, before they got another penalty at the end of the game which made the game end 1-1.
The performance of Rudiger made many Chelsea fans to speak so tough about him, and some have called that he should leave the club, as you can see below.
