“He went a bit too early” – Potential Chelsea owner reveals why Abramovich was wrong to sack Frank Lampard

Frank Lampard was sacked as Chelsea boss in January 2021 after a run of poor results and was replaced by Thomas Tuchel, who has gone on to win the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.

However, British billionaire Nick Candy, who is keen on buying Chelsea, has claimed Roman Abramovich was wrong in sacking Chelsea legend Frank Lampard as Chelsea boss.

Candy told The Sun: “In business, you have to make the right decisions at the right time.”

“Sometimes I may not have agreed with them myself.

“I think with Frank he went a bit too early and probably watching the Champions League being picked up at the end of the season was quite difficult for him. But he loves Chelsea, so at the same time it was probably a nice thing to see as he put some of the foundations in.”
