Chelsea have been strongly linked with a move for Kai Havertz, and the German international is expected to be Chelsea’s third signing ahead of next season.
Reports claim that Havertz is keen on moving to Chelsea, and just like Timo Werner, the 21-year-old isn’t too keen on playing Bayer Leverkusen’s remaining European games, but would rather he moved to Stamford Bridge before the Europa League games begin.
Leverkusen chief Rudi Voller has publicly announced that it’s ‘set in stone’ that Havertz will complete the rest of their European quest before any move takes place.
Rudi Voller insists Havertz wouldn’t be able to move out from Bayer Leverkusen before August 21. Voller also insists there has been no formal offer for the 21-year-old.
Leverkusen host Rangers in the second leg of their last-16 clash next Thursday, and the German side sit pretty comfortable with a 3-1 aggregate lead from the first leg.
