He’s back, I am super happy – Tuchel says on Chelsea player after 2-1 victory over Club America
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel expressed his happiness that Ben Chilwell is playing again following Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Club America.
The England international missed the remainder of the season due to an injury he sustained late in the previous campaign.
In the first half of Chelsea’s match against Club America, Ben Chilwell started; Marcos Alonso came on in the second.
When asked how pleased he was to see Ben Chilwell starting, Thomas Tuchel said: “We are super happy that he’s back, and you can see it’s a difference from training to the game, and he will take his time.
“He will get this time because he deserves it. We will support him on his way back, and it was good for him.
“I’m happy nobody is injured after a physical game and physical two weeks. Same for Chilly. I’m happy that he’s back.”
