‘He’s better than Kante: Jordan Henderson reveals why Liverpool player is better than Kante as he disagrees with former Chelsea player

Recent reports claims that, former Chelsea player Joe Cole recently claimed that Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante is the best midfielder in the world and could even surpass Blues legend Frank Lampard as the greatest midfielder in Chelsea’s history.

“Yes I do,” Cole responded when asked if he thinks Kante is the best midfielder in the world.

“Also, I think N’Golo now stands shoulder to shoulder with any of the great midfielders at this club. You can put him next to Frank [Lampard], you can put him next to [Claude] Makelele. If he goes on a few more years and achieves more, maybe he surpasses them.

“In terms of influence on the pitch, I don’t think there is a more influential midfielder in world football. When he doesn’t play it hurts us so much… He’s the only player in the squad you take him out it’s hard to replace him.”

Meanwhile, Ex Blue Geremi Njitap also recently hailed Kante as the best defensive midfielder in the world.

Geremi told The Mirror when discussing Kante: “Big, big player,”

“When you look at his stats everything is at the top and I think he is still getting better. He is taking more responsibility and you see the season he had last year, and this season also what he’s doing.

“For me, the biggest player in the world right now, I can say that.”

Now, Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson, has insisted that teammate Fabinho is the best in the world in that position, hinting that the Brazilian is a better player than Kante.

When you’ve got someone like Fabinho in team, who for me is the best in the world in that position, he’s incredible and he’s a huge player for the way we play,” the Liverpool captain said on BT Sport.

“When I play, having him behind you it’s amazing really. It’s an incredible feeling to be able to go off and sort of press do your thing going forward.”
