Hijacking mission! As Todd Boehly spotted in Barcelona to seal this 3 deals
Todd Boehly, owner of Chelsea, was observed in Barcelona to talk about signing transfers.
While Chelsea is after Frenkie de Jong, Barcelona is interested in two Chelsea players, Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso.
It is thought that Chelsea is attempting to sabotage Frenkie de Jong’s transfer to Manchester United.
Gerard Romero, a Spanish transfer specialist, claims that Chelsea has made an unstoppable offer to Barcelona for De Jong, who is wanted by Manchester United.
Barcelona and Manchester United have agreed on the price of the transfer of Frenkie de Jong, but they have not yet agreed on the move’s overall structure.
The most recent Frenkie de Jong offer from Manchester United is €65 million guaranteed plus €22 million in add-ons.
However, Barcelona want €75million guaranteed from Manchester United plus €12million in add-ons.
Barcelona want a bulk of the transfer to be paid now so they can reinvest the funds into their squad this summer and Chelsea are willing to do just that.
With Manchester United delaying to seal the deal for De Jong, Chelsea have now moved to hijack the deal.
Barcelona in turn will use this opportunity to discuss their interest in Azpilicueta and Alonso.
If it was just about a move for Azpilicueta and Alonso, Barca officials would have made the trip to London.
But Todd Boehly is however looking to hijack a move for De Jong and made the trip to Spain, and we’d wait for more updates on this transfer report.
