His career at Chelsea is over: Reporter reveals after Chelsea player’s ‘heated exchange’ with Tuchel
Many puzzled why Thomas Tuchel took Marcos Alonso off at halftime against Wolves, as the Spaniard was having a good game and it wasn’t time to alter players or tactics.
Saul Niguez, who has had little playing time recently, was brought in for the second half and had a poor performance.
At halftime, Marcos Alonso and Thomas Tuchel had a “heated exchange,” prompting the change, and rumors now claim that his time at Chelsea is all but finished.
Tuchel had said: “Marcos was not injured, it was just a decision we made.”
Tuchel was claimed to be unhappy with the 31-year-old’s performance in the first half, which made the Chelsea head coach shout at the left wing-back, as he demanded more. Alonso would then dish out at the German, which led to a heated exchange.
Alonso is now entering his final year at Chelsea, and Barcelona are keen on the Spaniard. Reports now claim Tuchel could go for a back-up left wing-back at the end of the season, with Ben Chilwell expected to be back in action at the start of next season.
