Billy Gilmour was outstanding in Chelsea’s 2-0 FA Cup victory over Liverpool on Tuesday night at Stamford Bridge.
However, The 18-year-old produced a masterclass in midfield and was named man of the match as Chelsea beat Liverpool to progress to the next round of the FA Cup.
Meanwhile, Liverpool star Fabinho would have had some nightmares on Tuesday night after Young kid Billy Gilmour totally outplayed him in midfield.
After the game, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admitted that the better team won as he was displeased with the mistakes made by his side and the German manager was reportedly visibly annoyed by Fabinho’s disappointing performance.
According to Liverpool Echo, Klopp became increasingly tetchy as the fixture reached the closing stages, and at one point he threw his arms into the air before gesticulating angrily towards the bench.
That reaction came after Fabinho sent a cross field pass to Neco Williams which ended up behind the youngster and stopping him from bursting towards the Chelsea defence.
Fabinho failed to come to grips with the game, and one highlight was when Gilmour pulled a sublime skill past him before creating a chance for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud.
