Ruben Loftus-Cheek has played a full game for the first time since suffering a terrible Achilles injury back in May last year.
The 24-year-old has featured for Chelsea’s U23 side in a Premier League 2 fixture against Everton.
In the second half of the game, Loftus-Cheek won a penalty converted by Luke McCormick. This remained the game’s only goal.
At the death of it, the midfielder suffered a knock on his ankle but, according to reports from Aldershot where the game took place, he was alright after it.
Loftus-Cheek is understandably not expected to feature against Liverpool on Tuesday night. There’s a good chance.
However, that we might finally see him kick a ball at Stamford Bridge on Sunday when Chelsea take on Everton again, this time in a Premier League clash.
