Chelsea legend John Terry doubts Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea side can beat the Premier League defensive record held by Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea team of 2004/05 season.
In the 2004/05 season, Chelsea won the Premier League title with Terry as captain, conceding just 15 goals that season, a record in the Premier League.
Petr Cech featured in goal with a partnership of Ricardo Carvalho and Terry at the back as Chelsea lost just one game all season.
Fans believe Tuchel’s Chelsea can match or even break that record as the Blues have conceded just four goals in the Premier League this season after eleven games.
When asked if Tuchel’s Chelsea can match the record of the Chelsea team of the 2004/05 season, Terry responded: “Genuinely don’t think anyone will ever get close to it , but hope we do.”
