‘He loves football, to an extent that you can wake him up at 4am’ – Tuchel says of Chelsea player

Chelsea loaned player Conor Gallagher is having a great time at Crystal Palace and has been successful so far.

However, following his loan spell at Palace Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is proud of his progress so far.

When asked about his thoughts on Conor Gallagher’s progress this season.

Thomas Tuchel said: “It’s not hard to follow (his progress) because he is standing out every single match day. It’s a pretty easy one to follow.

“Listen, Conor’s heart is so, so big. He loves football and you can wake him up at four o’clock at night. He will start running, sprinting and collecting balls, winning duels.

“This is what he does and you can see he feels good, he has trust from the club and manager.”

Giving an update over his future, Tuchel added: “Right now, it is the beginning of November. He is a full member of the Crystal Palace squad and it’s good where he is. There is no need to change this. We are fully aware of it and are happy he feels so good and is a huge part of this club.”

Gallagher has been extremely impressive for Palace this season, standing out as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.

The 20-year-old has scored 4 goals and registered 2 assists in 10 appearances this season and is determined on establishing himself as a first-team star for Chelsea next season.
