‘I like watching him, he’s a great player’ – Dani Alves hails Chelsea star
According to reports, Dani Alves made a sensational return to Barcelona in January on a free transfer, having not played a game of professional football in months.
It took him a while to warm up, but he’s playing an important role in Xavi’s revolution at the Camp Nou, with his leadership just as important as his play down the right wing.
Four Four Two had an interesting interview with him where he named some of his favourite players in his position in the world – and you won’t be surprised to hear that he picked out Reece James as one of them.
James has a lot of Alves’ style about him – brilliant technique and attacking flair, but all wrapped up a super strong and powerful frame that can compete with anyone defensively too.
We love the idea of Alves at home with his feet up watching James tear up and down the right for Chelsea.
