“I loved him” “He’s proving to be a great player” – Carles Puyol hails Chelsea star
Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo has been praised as a terrific player by Barcelona icon Carles Puyol.
Puyol thinks that under Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino, the Ecuadorian international has the skill and potential to accomplish “important things.”
Caicedo moved from Brighton for £115 million last summer, but he had a disappointing first season at Stamford Bridge.
In a mostly dysfunctional Chelsea club, he has pretended to be deceitful, but on Monday, he gave one of his greatest performances of the year in the Premier League, defeating Everton 6-0.
“He’s a great player,” Puyol told Ecuadorian outlet El Universo when asked for his thoughts on the 22-year-old midfielder.
“I think he has the necessary quality, the necessary talent to be able to do important things. But the most important thing is that he’s in a great team where he can grow a lot.”
