‘I want to be a Chelsea player’ – Brazilian star reveals

Thiago Silva has revealed that he has no intention of leaving CHELSEA during the January transfer window.

The veteran Brazilian only signed a one-year contract extension in February but his wife has admitted he has struggled mentally recently given the club’s poor run of form.

The Blues are well down the pecking order in the Premier League as they currently sit 11th – well off the pace of leaders Manchester City and Arsenal. And they are also out of all the cup competitions.

Now – According to Globo Esporte, the defender is now regretting his decision to sign a one-year contract extension with Chelsea three months ago.

The Brazilian news outlet has said that Silva would scrap his deal at the end of the 2022-23 campaign and return to his boyhood club.

Fluminense recently confirmed that they would love to see the Brazilian make a move back to the club.

However – the Brazilian star has now opened up and revealed that he has no intention of leaving the Premier League giants.

“There’s nothing between me and Fluminense now. I’ve extended my contract because I want to stay at Chelsea”, told ESPN.

‘I even told my wife that I know nothing of these rumours of a meeting with the Fluminense board… I always respected my contracts”.
