“I would like to go back to Serie A”- Chelsea star admits he wants to leave club
Chelsea currently find themselves in a position that can be seen as positive and negative collectively.
Some clubs would love to have the luxury of such a big squad, but others would find it too difficult to keep the whole squad happy.
Well, at Chelsea this season that has become pretty much impossible. For example, they currently have five centre backs who would all want to be first team regulars, and three left backs who will also be thinking the exact same thing.
One of those players is Emerson Palmieri. He has never really nailed down a regular place at the club since joining in 2018, and he is now fighting with Ben Chilwell and Marcos Alonso for a starting spot.
His Chelsea future looks bleak, but Emerson is keeping all options open as he hopes for more first team football as soon as possible.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Emerson has been speaking about his future.
He said: “I’m not playing a lot but I’m calm, I’m confident that things are gonna change, here or elsewhere.
“In two months we will see if I will have had some space at Chelsea, or we will evaluate other options: I had received some offers, surely I would like to come back to Serie A “.
