‘I’m taking him man, He’s got the pedigree’ – Rio Ferdinand tells Manchester United to sign Chelsea man

Ahead of the 2022-23 season, Manchester United are in search of a new manager. Well, United have been unable to replace the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson, with several managers getting sacked since Ferguson’s departure.

Erik ten Hag and Mauricio Pochettino are believed to be the two managers leading the race for the job, but Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has told the club to go on and sign Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel instead.

Rio Ferdinand believes Tuchel is the best candidate to solve the problems at Manchester United, insisting Chelsea would do the same if the roles were reversed.

Ferdinand said on Vibe with Five: “I’m taking Tuchel, man. I don’t care.”

“If the roles were reversed and Man United were there and had Tuchel as a sitting duck at our football club, we are presuming he’s a sitting duck from the reports we are hearing.

“If that was the case and the roles were reversed, trust me, Roman and the empire would knock down the door.

“They wouldn’t even knock down the door, they’d run round the side and take him.

“Tuchel would be the one. He’s got the pedigree.

“He’s shown already that he can come into this league, he’s adapted straight away, he’s won the Champions League, he can galvanise a squad, he can get them playing.

“He can create a culture, create a togetherness. He’s got discipline.”
