Following Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Palmeiras in the Club World Cup final, Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has challenged Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku to take the Blues to the top after the Belgium scored for the Blues

However, Lukaku, who scored Chelsea’s opener, posted a picture in which he joked he scored against Palmeiras despite closing his eyes.

Drogba then responded to Lukaku’s post by saying: “You can keep them closed as long as you take us to the top of the world!”

Furthermore, Chelsea legend Pat Nevin has hailed the performance of Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku in Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Brazilian side Palmeiras in the final of the FIFA Club World Cup.

Speaking about Lukaku’s performance, Nevin said: “He’s scored a goal but it’s not just that… His energy levels are easily the best I’ve seen [from him].

“It’s really exciting to see that from the big man because if he buys into all that sort of stuff suddenly we’ve got the player we were all really hoping for at the start.”
