Chelsea confirmed that goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli has joined the club on a free transfer after leaving London rivals Fulham last month On Wednesday.
However, the 29-year-old joined Chelsea having signed a two-year deal with the Blues.
Bettinelli is expected to take Willy Caballero’s place as the third-choice goalkeeper, behind Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy.
Interestingly, Bettinelli became Thomas Tuchel’s first signing at Chelsea, since inheriting the squad from Frank Lampard.
After the deal was announced on Wednesday, Chelsea fans have since taken to social media to tell the club who they really want.
