“In my time at Chelsea” – Todd Bohely receives clear Roman Abramovich message after setting unwanted record after 5-0 heavy defeat to Arsenal

“In my time at Chelsea” – Todd Bohely receives clear Roman Abramovich message after 5-0 heavy defeat to Arsenal as Bohely continues to struggle as a Chelsea owner

Arsenal humiliated Chelsea 5-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.

The loss against derby rivals Arsenal in this encounter was Chelsea’s eleventh league loss of the year.

Todd Bohely established an unwelcome record at Chelsea, but the Blues had never been hammered this badly in Roman Abramovich’s tenure as Chelsea’s owner.

With six games remaining, Chelsea has conceded the most goals in a Premier League campaign to date—57 goals in the league this season—despite the crushing loss.

Chelsea’s highest ever conceded total was 55, which came from 42 games instead of the customary 38 in 1994–1995 and 1996–1997.

Chelsea is 13th in terms of goals conceded this season, having only preserved six clean sheets; the only teams with poorer defensive records are Brentford, Bournemouth, Nottingham Forest, West Ham, Burnley, Luton, and Sheffield United.

Todd Bohely receives clear Roman Abramovich message

Comparing Roman Abramovich’s tenure as the Blues’ owner to Todd Boehly’s tenure at Chelsea, William Gallas has taken issue with the latter.

Chelsea has signed a great deal of young players, but they have battled to be consistent over the past few seasons. Frank Lampard, Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter, and now Mauricio Pochettino have all struggled to construct a winning team, and the Blues are headed for their second consecutive season without playing in Europe.

And former Chelsea defender Gallas has questioned whether the current setup at Stamford Bridge has “the right people.” He also pointed out how they used to win trophies regardless of how poor a season they were having with their last piece of silverware coming in 2021.

“Under Abramovich, Chelsea always used to win regardless of if they were having a good or bad year, and that’s because they always had a strategy. When you run a club, you need to have people around you who know their job and want to do well,” he told Gambling Zone.

“It looks like, at the moment at Chelsea, they don’t have the right people. I’m talking about the sporting director, the scouts and the people who give the advice over which players to sign and which ones have to leave.

“Chelsea won’t qualify for the Champions League, at the beginning of the season I was thinking maybe we would qualify for the Europa League; but now even that looks like it won’t happen. That would be unacceptable for Abramovich and that’s why he was so successful.”

This shows how poor Todd Bohely’s tenure at Chelsea seems poor so far i guess sacking Tuchel was the worst decision.
