Chelsea signed a 30+ goal a season striker in Timo Werner, and the German international is showing in training that he’s full value for money after scoring a stunning goal in training.
In a clip posted by the official Chelsea twitter handle, the 24-year-old is seen practicing his runs into the penalty box, starting with his back turned to goal.
To start the move, Werner took a quick turn before sprinting around a cutout defender, and smashing the ball into the net with his right foot, beyond the reach of the goalkeeper.
And the 24-year-old fired his shot across the goalkeeper into the top-left corner of the net, leaving his team-mates blown away. Chelsea fans have been reacting to the goal and can’t wait for the new season to resume.
One Blues fan commented: “Tears in my eyes – a clinical striker at the Bridge.”
Another admitted that he’s expecting 40 goals next season: “40 goals next season.”
Another added: “He’s bagging 30+.” With an added fan commenting: “42 goals 2020/2021 season.” “Rockets every game next year,” a Blues fan commented.
