Injury wise! Tuchel provides fresh injury problem for Lukaku and Timo Werner

Romelu Lukaku got off injured after 20 minutes after a tackle in the penalty box. The Belgian won a penalty for the team but had to leave immediately after as he seemed to have twisted his ankle.

Timo Werner surprisingly pulled his muscles just before half time and also had to be subbed off.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel revealed his frustration after losing two strikers, as he revealed that they’d now join Christian Pulisic on the treatment table.

The good news from the manager however is that they won’t be out for long.

Speaking after the game, Tuchel said: “We have a twist of the ankle for Romelu and muscle injury and hamstring for Timo, so they will be out for some days.’

“We were in a good place injury wise, we only had Christian Pulisic out, but we miss everybody, we have a lot of games out, we have to find solutions so no excuses.

“The two were in very good shape so now we have to find a solution and the guys that have waited for their chance now have to prove themselves.

“We won games before without Timo and also without Romelu, we don’t want these problems too often, but you cannot hide from the face that these things happen during a season.”
