‘Isn’t he a big lump?’ – Wolves coach slams Chelsea player after 2-2 draw against Chelsea
Romelu Lukaku was given a rare start in the Premier League game against Wolves, and the Belgian repaid the faith of his manager with a fine performance.
Lukaku won and converted his penalty for Chelsea’s first goal, and produced a fine finish two minutes later to double the lead.
Speaking after the game, Wolves coach Tony Roberts took a dig at Lukaku, claiming that for his size, he tricked the referee to award a penalty to him.
“He’s a big lump, isn’t he?; said Roberts who took the post-match press conference in the absence of the Bruno Lage who had tested positive to coronavirus.
“So, for him to go down, I’m not sure.”
Tony Roberts praised his team after the game and claimed that they should have taken all three points at the Bridge.
Tony Roberts told BBC Sport after the game: “We came back to get the point but we’re disappointed we didn’t win it. We had opportunities from set-pieces in the first half but this group has great spirit so to come from 2-0 down here, what a result.”
