‘It is hard to swallow! as Tuchel ‘hits at’ Anthony Taylor for what he did in 2-2 draw against Liverpool
Tuchel slams referee after 2-2 draw with Liverpool wasn’t one for the faint hearted as four goals were scored in the first half, and Chelsea had to come from behind to draw level.
However, the game could have gone differently had Sadio Mane been given a red card for an elbow on Cesar Azpilicueta at the start of the game.
The Senegal international was only issued a yellow card much to the fury of Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel, who took time to slam some of the decisions that have been taken by referees against Chelsea.
Tuchel said after the game: “In the first game we got the red card and the referee was so quick to give the red card. They did not check it, I hate to say it normally as I don’t like a red card early in the game, it can kill it,”
“The public are here to see 11v11. Sadio Mane should always be on the pitch because he is a brilliant player and a good guy but it is a red card.
“If you don’t check and then can check our goal and maybe take it away… it is hard to swallow but what can we do?’
