It’s a Chelsea thing! as Tuchel and 2 Chelsea players nominated for UEFA awards after UCL victory
According to latest reports, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel and two of his Chelsea players have been nominated for UEFA awards following Chelsea’s triumph in the Champions League last season.
Tuchel has been nominated for the UEFA Coach of the Year award alongside Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola and Italy boss Roberto Mancini.
Chelsea duo Jorginho and N’Golo Kante were nominated for the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year award after enjoying a stellar 2020-21 campaign that saw the Blues lift the Champions League.
Both players started the Champions League final win over Manchester City, with Kai Havertz’s first-half strike proving the difference between the two sides in Portugal.
Jorginho also won the European Championship with Italy.
The third nominee for the men’s award is Manchester City midfielder De Bruyne.
