‘It’s a very sad news yesterday’ — Tuchel gives worrying news ahead of Newcastle clash
The Blues will play Newcastle away at the St James Park on Saturday afternoon, and it’s another opportunity for Chelsea to maintain their lead at the top of the table.
However, speaking to the media ahead of the game, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel revealed that the team has a fresh injury problem as key midfielder Mateo Kovacic suffered an injury in training.
Tuchel revealed Kovacic suffered a hamstring injury and will be out of action for the coming weeks.
Thomas Tuchel said: “We had some very sad news yesterday because he injured himself in the very last minute of training.
“It’s a hamstring injury and he will be out for some weeks. Hopefully after the international break he can be back here.”
