“It’s crazy to believe this but”…John Terry reacted to Chelsea’s shocking defeat to Middlesbrough

Chelsea are in danger of crashing out of the Carabao Cup after tasting defeat against Middlesbrough on Tuesday night.

The Blues were downed by a single goal that was scored in the first half by Hayden Hackney.

To be fair, Chelsea did create a good number of chances in the first half, but putting them away was a major challenge, with Cole Palmer missing up to four opportunities himself.

The second half was even worse for Mauricio Pochettino’s men, as they struggled to break down Boro’s stubborn back line, and ended up losing the match 1-0 at the Riverside.

However, one man appears to still be confident the Blues can get a good result in the second leg.

According to former Chelsea captain, John Terry, who took to his X account to share his thoughts after the game, the West Londoners can still get a result in the second leg, even though the post suggested he had some reservations.

Terry’s post on the platform read: “So frustrating… I firmly believe we will win the return leg at the Bridge but…”

Tuesday’s result means that Chelsea now need to win the return leg by at least 2-0, to avoid taking the game into extra time and penalties.
