It’s Happening: Robert Lewandowski makes final Chelsea transfer decision ahead of possible move
The Poland international forward is believed to be one of Thomas Tuchel’s top transfer targets if they fail to lure Erling Haaland from Signal Iduna Park.
Sport Bild reports, Chelsea made a £50million move for 32-year-old forward with the player’s agent Pini Zahavi.
However, according to reports reaching us this afternoon, Robert Lewandowski is reportedly interested in making a move to Chelsea this summer.
According to The Sun reports, Bayern Munich goal machine is open to take a new challenge in his career and sign for the Premier League team.
The German giants do not want their forward to depart from the team and are currently putting together a new deal.
Lewandowski has been in stunning form last season, founding back of the net 41 times in 29 Germany top-tier and he is currently one of the main favourites alongside Lionel Messi to claim the FIFA Ballon d’Or award.
Chelsea have been rumoured with several options should they not get a deal for their No.1 transfer Haaland over the line; and the latest name has been Domenico Beradi.
The Sassuolo forward is valued at €40m – is on the radar of a number of the top team in the Italy top-tier, including AC Milan, and Liverpool who are also said to have registered an interest.
Berardi came up through the Sassuolo youth system before moving to Juventus for £4million in 2013.
Meanwhile, Chelsea’s chase for a new forward has led to rumours about Timo Werner possible departure from Stamford Bridge.
The German international forward failed to enjoy the best of debut campaigns in the English top-tier last season and would reportedly be willing to depart from the club if a new forward is signed.
Speaking about the situation, a 90min source said: “Werner is not unhappy at Chelsea, far from it – but he also knows the club are looking at a new striker so if he has to move on, he is prepared to do so.”
