Ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash between Chelsea and Manchester City, City star Ilkay Gundogan has added to the growing list of Kante’s admirers.
However, everyone who has come up against Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has acknowledged that the France international is a rock to play against.
In a twitter Q&A, Gundogan admitted that the Chelsea midfielder is the toughest midfielder he has ever faced.
A fan asked Gundogan who the hardest midfield opponent he ever faced was, and the German responded by naming Kante.
“I would say N’Golo Kante. He’s really strong, the amount of work that he puts into the game, it’s just unbelievable…”
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has reserved Kante for this match, and he will be hoping that the Frenchman will be in top gear in Saturday’s lunchtime kick off at the Etihad.
