“It’s time for him to shine” “Start him please” – Chelsea fans urge Pochettino to start £100,000K- a-week Chelsea star against Everton

The Premier League matchup between Chelsea and Everton comes on Monday night.

After the draw with Sheffield United the previous Saturday, the Blues need to bounce back soon, but this season they have really struggled to find any consistency.

Prior to this weekend’s games, Mauricio Pochettino’s team is ranked ninth in the league standings. Chelsea must play their final eight games with extreme intensity if they hope to make it to Europe through the league.

Will the team that was only able to draw 2-2 in Sheffield therefore undergo any changes?

Blues injury worry
Enzo Fernandez, 23, is one player at risk of missing Monday’s game.

As per the official website, Pochettino named Fernandez as a doubt to face Everton in a few days time.

If Fernandez drops out of the XI through necessity, who replaces him in the Chelsea XI?

Chelsea fans want Carney Chukwuemeka to start

A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media say that Carney Chukwuemeka should be promoted to the starting XI against Everton.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has had a frustrating campaign largely wrecked by injury, playing only 11 times. However, he’s getting back to fitness and has been used as a substitute in the club’s last two league games.

Here are some Blues fans on X urging the manager to recall £20m star Chukwuemeka (Sky Sports) to the line-up on Monday.

One fan said: “No excuses, Carney Chukwuemeka MUST start against.”

Another wrote: “Start Carney in our next game. He deserves to start.”

A third claimed: “Time to START in [number] 10… Poch!”

Another posted: “It’s time for Chukwuemeka to shine. Finally”

A fifth supporter shared: “Put Chukwuemeka in that midfield. We need a good carrier of the ball against Everton.”
