“I’ve seen it at other clubs, it will help him” – Tuchel told to make this signing in January to help Lukaku firing again
According to reports, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has been told he needs to sign a No 10 to get the best out of club-record signing Romelu Lukaku.
Tony Cascarino told talkSPORT: “I’ve seen number tens at other clubs that have been pivotal, [Thierry] Henry had Bergkamp, he was a fantastic ten.”
“Now Lukaku had that with [Lautaro] Martinez at Inter Milan now he hasn’t had that at Chelsea, he’s got players that are not quite the finished article.
“Timo Werner is not a good foil in a partnership.
“He’s very hit and miss as a player, incredible work rate, desire to run in behind and never stops chasing.
“But he doesn’t have the quality of a number ten that I think Lukaku needs.”
