Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma returned to the starting line-up for the second league game in a row, and the Frenchman showed his quality in this game that helped Chelsea go home with the three points.
Zouma did enough to show Lampard that he deserves to start more, after another good day at the back, including a last ditch sliding tackle that prevented Christian Benteke from hurting Chelsea with the last kick of the game.
Palace hit the post in stoppage time, and Benteke was played clean through in the final moment of the game, only for Zouma to arrive out of nowhere with an incredible tackle at the last second.
Chelsea legend John Terry was pleased with Zouma’s tackle and praised his former teammate at the end of the game.
Responding to an Instagram post from Chelsea which described Zouma’s challenge as ‘absolute perfection’, Terry tagged Zouma and wrote: ‘What a tackle’.
