Just in: Chelsea finally given ‘deadline date’ to submit bid for Haaland

Chelsea are very keen to secure the signing of Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, but seems so stressful.

However, Dortmund directors have come out to say outrightly that they are not going to sell their 21-year-old star, but Chelsea still harbour hopes that a deal can still be done this summer.

According to reputable reporter Fabrizio Romano (via Benchwarmers), Chelsea’s only hope of signing Haaland is by submitting a mammoth bid, and the Blues must submit that bid as soon as possible or forget anything about Haaland until next summer.

Romano maintains that Dortmund are very confident that they’d keep Haaland, and won’t bother accepting any bid no matter the size if it’s done towards the end of the transfer window.

According to the reporter, Dortmund would not want to be in negotiations over Haaland’s potential exit in the last week of the transfer window, and specifically mentioned around 25-30 August as a time frame when they won’t do business.

Is Haaland worth a massive bid of £150m? Or should the Blues wait until next summer when his release clause of £65m can be activated.
