Just in: Chelsea turn attention to £125K a-week Serie A defender as Chilwell’s replacement
As we all know Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell has been ruled out until the end of the season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
The England international was a key part of Thomas Tuchel’s team before the injury, and Marcos Alonso hasn’t done a good job of replacing the Englishman.
Well, The Blues have recalled Kenedy from Flamengo, but the Blues are still exploring the options of signing a top player who can play the left wing-back role.
Meanwhile, according to the Mirror, Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic is now being strongly considered as a short-term solution for the left wing-back position.
Perisic’s contract expires at the end of the season and Chelsea believes that the 32-year-old can do a good job in that role.
Perisic had been linked with Chelsea in the past, and Inter would likely accept a nominal fee for the 32-year-old winger who’s nearing the end of his contract with Inter.
