Just in: Dortmund respond after Chelsea offer 47.5M Lampard signing In latest Haaland’s possible deal
According to reports in England, Borussia Dortmund are not interested in taking Chelsea forward Timo Werner as part of a player-exchange deal for Erling Haaland.
There were claims in the German media last week that the Blues had offered up both Tammy Abraham and Callum Hudson-Odoi and it now seems a third player has been mentioned in talks.
Werner was signed from RB Leipzig for £47.5m last summer, but he struggled in front of goal, scoring only 12 times in all competitions. From the looks of things, manager Thomas Tuchel is open to offloading the player, despite utilising him regularly in the second half of last season.
In regardss to Haaland, it now looks increasingly likely that Dortmund won’t consider a sale unless it is a cash-only bid.
With it being believed that the Bundesliga side are not willing to sell for less than €175m (£150m), Chelsea may need to raise more funds before going in with a formal offer.
