Just in: Marina ready to sell key Chelsea player to Premier league rivals in order to complete €80m deal

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Chelsea will make a fresh attempt to sign Jules Kounde from Sevilla in the next few days.

However, According to Sport BILD, Marina Granovskaia is reportedly willing to ‘agree’ upon a fee to sell Kurt Zouma to Tottenham this summer, as Spurs’ interest in other to complete Jules Kounde deal.

Zouma, 26, is wanted by a host of clubs this summer including fellow London pair West ham United and Tottenham Hotspur.

And Sport BILD journalist Christian Falk has now confirmed the north Londoners’ interest in the central defender is genuine as Chelsea are unusually open to dealing with Daniel Levy this summer, despite a fractured relationship over the years which goes back to when the Blues tried to sign Luka Modric.

He tweeted on his personal Twitter account: “The interest of Spurs in Kurt Zouma is true,” followed by a green tick emoji. “Chelsea would agree for a transfer.”

Fabio Paratici faces stiff competition from West Ham who have re-entered negotiations for the 26-year-old despite failing to agree personal terms the first time around.

It is understood that Spurs have the advantage in this transfer race as they could potentially afford Zouma’s hefty wage demands of £100,000-a-week, a figure which the east Londoners are unwilling to meet due to the Europa League newcomers reportedly ‘operating on a limited budget’ this transfer window.

Meanwhile, A prospect that Chelsea legend John Terry would prefer after making his reaction to the Spurs update well known on social media under Sky Sports’ Instagram post.

Zouma was an unused substitute in Chelsea’s opening Premier League win over Crystal Palace on Saturday, and played 66 minutes over their UEFA Super Cup victory against Villarreal.

Trevoh Chalobah’s impressive pre-season form has translated into manager Thomas Tuchel ranking the young defender ahead of Zouma in the current pecking order for the new 2021/22 season.

Last season Zouma made 24 Premier League appearances, scoring five times, although he only started on eight occasions after Tuchel took over.

The Les Bleus international received an impressive WhoScored.com rating of 7.07 for his Premier League performances in the 2020/21 campaign for the west Londoners, illustrating just why Spurs are so keen on a deal before the transfer deadline on August 31 passes by.
