Just in: Next Dortmund director sends ‘strong warning’ to Mino Raiola on Haaland’s move to Chelsea
News on Haaland’s move to Chelsea is really getting hotter day by day as the Blues are yet to give up on the deal.
However, Borussia Dortmund are doing to Chelsea what they did exactly to Manchester United, and it seems their stance is clear enough.
Manchester United sought to buy Jadon Sancho from Dortmund for two years, but it was until this summer that the German side eventually decided to sell Sancho to Manchester United.
Dortmund’s next sporting director Sebastian Kehl, is expected to take over from Michael Zorc next year, and he believes the 21-year-old Erling Haaland be staying put for the foreseeable future.
Quizzed by Bild on whether Haaland will form part of Dortmund’s plans for 2021-22, he said: “Yes.
“In the conversations with Mino Raiola about the [Donyell] Malen transfer, I did not have the feeling that we would have to meet again soon about Erling, and we have already emphasised 1000 times that we do not want to give him up.”
In another interview with DPA, Kehl called Chelsea’s rumoured £150m offer nothing but “hot steam”.
Zorc said: “That offer does not exist and we do not expect it to arrive. When these numbers circulated in the media I guess certain people were still dreaming about the Super League. We do not have to sell Erling.”
