Just in: Study predicts who Chelsea will meet in the Champions League second round

Chelsea topped their Champions League group, as the Blues beat Sevilla to top Group E and has since booked a place in the Champions League round of 16.

While Chelsea are seeded for the next round, there are a number of high quality teams that the Blues may face, with the draws set to be cast next week Monday.

According to a recent study, Chelsea are most likely to meet a German side in the Champions League second round. This means that the Blues may meet RB Leipzig or Borussia Mönchengladbach. Chelsea cannot meet Bayern Munich who also qualified top of their group.

The draw possibilities was released by @emi_nga on Twitter, and according to the data, Chelsea have an 18.62% chance of drawing Borussia Monchengladbach.

The data also revealed that Chelsea have a 16.08% chance of facing RB Leipzig.

The Spanish sides come next in line, with either Atletico Madrid (14.48%) or Barcelona (14.16%) respectively.

Chelsea were given a 13.35% and 12.65% chance of facing Lazio or Atalanta respectively, with a tie against FC Porto the least likely of the seven possibilities at 10.67%.
