Juventus could be willing to sell Brazilian star to Chelsea for a cheap fee

According to reports, Juventus are considering offloading their Brazilian star Douglas Costa as they weigh up a possible move for Valencia star Ferran Torres.

The Spanish youngster is high up the Bianconeri’s wishlist, and Juve are keen to let GO of Costa and even Federico Bernardeschi.

Juve are already blessed with big names such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala, with little room for Douglas Costa in Maurizio Sarri’s starting line-up.

Costa has only featured in 14 Serie A games and one Champions League game this season, and the Brazilian is reportedly set to cut ties with the Bianconeri, with just two years left of his contract.

At 29, Costa is still in his prime, and his transfer value won’t be high and the Blues could get him for £30m. The general feeling in Turin is that the Brazil international is injured too often and thus cannot be relied upon as a consistent performer over the course of a season. Chelsea have been linked with Costa in the past, and even the Brazilian had admitted that he’d be thrilled with a move to Chelsea.

“It’s a dream to play for Chelsea, a unique opportunity,” he told the Brazilian newspaper, Globo Esporte in 2015, while trying to move away from Shakhtar Donetsk. “I am trying to negotiate [a departure].”

Would you like to see him at Chelsea next season?
