Kai Havertz finally reveals what Chelsea players told him before taking his penalty
Once again Kai Havertz wins another major trophy for Chelsea after the scoring the winning goal for Chelsea in the CLub World Cup final as the Blues becomes Champions of the World.
However, following the victory Kai Havertz has shared how he feels and also reveals what Chelsea players said to him before taking the vital penalty.
Kai Havertz told the press after the Palmeiras game: “I have to be honest, I was [nervous]. It’s a big penalty, a big role. Just crazy. It was good I kept the nerves. I’m very happy.”
“I think I’m the third penalty taker. Jorgi and Rom were both out. I was the only one on the pitch. The other players gave me trust. Hakim, everybody said ‘you do it, you do it’.
“I don’t know what to say [about winning the Club World Cup]. I dreamed of this as a kid, an amazing feeling for me.
“I’m thankful for everyone that brought me here, my family, my girlfriend. The Champions League final, now this – all for them.”
Chelsea have claimed the Club World Cup award, their first in history, as Kai Havertz scored a late-game penalty to beat Palmeiras 2-1.
