Klopp names three Chelsea players who could cause problems for Liverpool on Sunday

Ahead of Sunday clash Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has named three Chelsea players who could be threats to the Reds ahead of Sunday’s clash, including Kai Havertz.

Liverpool are obviously the favourites to retain their Premier League title, having topped the table by 18 points from the second-placed Manchester City

But it will also be an opportunity for Chelsea and Frank Lampard to make a statement about where they stand after their summer spending spree.

Klopp admitted Chelsea have plenty of players who could cause problems for his team, but specifically mentioned three attacking players.

He told Sky Sports: “There’s plenty of threats, they’ve signed really well and already had an unbelievably good team. “We had to suffer a lot against them in the games last season.

“Christian Pulisic obviously wasn’t involved [against Brighton last Monday] but he’ll probably be fit for the game, Mason Mount and I know Kai Havertz from the Bundesliga – he will play a proper role this season.

“There are so many good players up front, in midfield, the defensive line, and the full-backs – there’s not one biggest threat, Chelsea themselves are the threat – that’s how it is in football.”

While Mount and Havertz could be crucial for Lampard’s plan on Sunday, Pulisic who almost sparked a Chelsea comeback in his second-half cameo at Anfield back in July is unfortunately in doubt for the game.
