Chelsea have been without N’Golo Kante for the past two games, and the team has struggled in the absence of the energetic Frenchman.
Last time out, Frank Lampard’s side was beaten 3-0 by Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Saturday evening, and Kante was highly needed in that game.
Speaking in his press conference, Blues boss Frank Lampard admitted that he’d have to do without Kante for Tuesday’s clash against Norwich City, revealing that the Frenchman will be back for the FA Cup clash against Manchester United on Sunday.
Lampard told the media: “Kante’s not fit. He has a chance for the semi-final on Sunday.
“Andreas Christensen had to come off at half-time [at Sheffield United] with an injury, but he’s back in the squad. The rest is as we were.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea must now ensure they finish in a top four position, as the ban placed on Manchester City has been lifted.
