Lampard has to make a tough choice before Chelsea face Tottenham

Tottenham and Chelsea will face off on Sunday at 10:00pm.

Chelsea and Tottenham will face off in an exciting Sunday night game. The winner of the match could go possibly go to the top of the table. This situation at the top could narrate the story of the season.

The Premier League has shown time and again that anything can happen and that will be the case for Sunday’s game too. However, Frank Lampard has a tough decision to make prior to the match.

Lampard to choose between Abraham and Giroud

Chelsea hasn’t lost a game in the Premier League since their 2-0 loss to Liverpool. However, the club did lose an FA Cup fixture against Tottenham on penalties. They would be keen to get their revenge. Tottenham on the other hand would love to maintain their stay at the top.

Mourinho has a tendency to develop and play a fixed team for league games. But that isn’t the way for Chelsea right now. Frank Lampard keeps shuffling things. Now after Giroud’s impressive game-winner against Renne he again faces a choice.

Whether to go with Tammy Abraham or Olivier Giroud. “I have a problem because I have Tammy who’s playing well and we know what he did last year and Oli always contributes in that way with that professionalism. After the restart he was incredible”.

“I have two players in a similar position that are fighting for a place. That’s a good problem”. This was Lampard’s statement as per the Express. Giroud offers experience and professionalism.

Whereas Abraham has raw explosive power and strength. It would be interesting to see which player the manager goes with. It should be a pretty exciting fixture between the two London clubs.

One can expect goals from this game as both sides’ attacking firepower has been pretty impressive. However, there is a possibility that both teams would be more conservative in their approach. But Let’s hope for the viewer’s sake that we can enjoy a game of free-flowing football.
