Lampard makes final decision on Barkley’s future at Chelsea
Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley is currently on a season-long loan at Aston Villa after the Blues strengthened the squad in the summer transfer window.
Barkley made three appearances for Chelsea this season prior to making the loan move to Villa, featuring against Brighton and Liverpool in the Premier League, before scoring a goal in the 6-0 win against Barnsley in the Carabao Cup.
Barkley has impressed while on loan at Aston Villa and there have been calls for him to be called up to the England squad, as well as Chelsea to give him regular minutes next season.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has made a decision on Barkley’s future following his impressive performances while on loan at Aston Villa.
According to Eurosport, Blues boss Lampard has contacted the player to make it clear how impressed he has been with his performances so far.
The report claims the door remains open for Barkley at Stamford Bridge if the remainder of his loan spell continues in the same fashion.
