Chelsea have been handed a blow in the race to land Timo Werner after RB Leipzig director Markus Krosche revealed coronavirus might KO any transfer.

And German striker Werner, is rated as one of the hottest prospects in Europe, with reports in the media all suggesting that he is seeking that big move to further develop his name in the game, with reports in the media suggesting that the Premier League is his next destination.
The German, 24, has scored 27 goals and provided 12 assists this season, and there is a feeling that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is interested in trying to take him to Anfield in order to help improve his attack ahead of next season.
But despite the interest from Liverpool, Chelsea were seemingly leading the chase for the German as the Reds do not need to add another striker to the side in the coming transfer windows.
However, with the coronavirus hitting the whole world, Krosche has claimed that Werner could stay in the summer, he told Sport1: “It is clear that Timo has attracted interest from other clubs for his great performances with his goals and assists.
“England has the same problems as we do. “The crisis affects not just one league, it has a global impact, and we cannot say whether things will be the same in six months.
Pressed on whether he thinks Werner could stay put, Krosche added: “Everything is possible. “We do not know how the transfer market is developing. “We are looking into a very foggy glass ball. “We do not know what our resources are and what the other clubs have in terms of opportunities.”
