Lampard sends ‘massive message’ to Rudiger following his performance in 4-0 victory over Krasnodar
Antonio Rudiger made his first Chelsea start this season as the Blues beat Krasnodar 4-0 in Russia.
The German’s time at Stamford Bridge appeared over last summer after he was given permission by Frank Lampard to leave the club following Thiago Silva’s arrival.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard admitted he was delighted with Rudiger’s performance in the Blues’ 4-0 win away at Krasnodar.
“I am very pleased with the performance of Zouma and Rudiger,” said Lampard in his post-match press conference.
“They can take credit for the performance among other players. I didn’t have any doubts about Toni with his professionalism in recent weeks.”
