Chelsea got off to winning ways in their new Premier League campaign last night.

The Blues beat Brighton 3-1 in their own back yard and it was a perfect start in terms of the scoreline.

However, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has given his backing to goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga after the win over Brighton on Monday.

Lampard’s side celebrated a 3-1 win over the Seagulls in their Premier League opener. Jorginho, Reece James and Kurt Zouma were all on the scoresheet for the blues, while Leandro Trossard scored for Brighton.

“I am happy with Kepa, I saw confidence in him,” Lampard told Sky Sports. “He is here, he is our ‘keeper and I am happy with him.”
