Lampard told £100 million Chelsea target ‘loves a challenge’ as father announcement opens door to stunning deal

According to reports, Erling Haaland is “very happy at Borussia Dortmund right now”, but his father has put the likes of Chelsea on alert.

Dortmund won the race to sign Haaland from Salzburg last January and he has made a stellar start to his career at Signal Iduna Park, scoring 27 goals in 29 games in all competitions for the club.

However, there has been alot of speculation in the media that Chelsea are one of a number of clubs that believe Haaland would be the dream signing to make, despite the fact that they already have Timo Werner and Tammy Abraham

Dortmund were deemed to be the perfect stepping stone back in January 2020, with Haaland heading to Germany to plunder 33 goals through 32 appearances, and At 20 years of age, there is no need for him to rush into making another move any time soon.

Alf-Inge Haaland does, however, acknowledge that mounting interest from afar may become impossible to ignore, He told Tuttosport: “He is very happy at Borussia Dortmund right now, but Erling loves a challenge and you can never know what the future holds in football. We’ll see.”

“He was born a striker, and always adored players who scored lots of goals, but two in particular: Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Cristiano Ronaldo,” Haaland senior added.

“He also had a weakness for Mario Balotelli at Manchester City. He’s never satisfied and trains constantly, because he wants to become the best. He’s super focused and lives for football.”

The lad is a very special talent that needs to make the right career choice as he could become one of the very best players on the planet, especially if he continues banging in the goals like he has been.

The Premier League would love to see the man make the move here, so when he does decide to leave Dortmund, a few clubs will be interested, it will be interesting to see where he ends up.
