Lampard’s men ‘in contact’ with Mino Raiola about world class summer signing

Reports have claimed Chelsea have contacted super-agent Mino Raiola about a summer deal for goalkeeper Dianluigi Donnarumma. Frank Lampard is not happy with the performances of current number one Kepa, and there is a lot of transfer speculation in the media suggesting that the Blues will indeed let him part the club at the end of the season and replace him.

That has led to a lot more speculation that Lampard has set his sights on the possible signing of Donnarumma, who is tipped to become one of the best stoppers in the game and the man to take the mantel as the best ever Italian goalkeeper, currently held by great Gianluihi Buffon.

It is believed that Chelsea are willing to pay the massive £65 million it would take to acquire is services in the summer, and it has also been claimed that Milan may actually be willing to let him leave in order to settle their books and freshen up the side.

Now the Sunday Express has come out and claimed that Chelsea have made contact with the super-agent ahead of the summer window and are reportedly ready to meet the massive £55 million asking price that Milan have placed om the Italians head.

Amid all the transfer speculation suggesting he could leave, he recently opened up and admitted that he has ambitions to become the best stopper in the game in a recent interview with Rivista Undici (via milannews.it), he said “My career? I want to have a great European championship and then I want to become the best goalkeeper in the world. My passion has always been goalkeeping. The thing that I have always liked about this role is the adrenaline,”

“The first derby? It is undoubtedly the most important memory even if generally matches against Inter generate great emotions. The adrenaline is a thousand, the heart is two thousand. I want to win, I want to play well.”

Look, if CHELSEA do intend to buy a new stopper then they probably need to buy one that is already experienced enough at the very top of the game. Donnarumma is a brilliant young stopper, but he has time to develop and turn into one of the best, Chelsea can wait to try and get a deal done.
