Late bid lineup as Chelsea revive interest to sign £130,000k a-week Ivorian attacker
Chelsea reportedly has rekindled their interest in Wilfried Zaha of Crystal Palace.
This summer, Zaha has been mentioned in connection with a move to Chelsea, but those reports have never materialized.
But it now appears that the Blues might launch a bid for Crystal Palace’s star forward before to the transfer deadline.
However, Last summer, Chelsea attempted to get Zaha, but Crystal Palace had set a price of more than £80 million.
Meanwhile, The 29-year-old now has a year left on his deal with Crystal Palace, and Palace are considering a sale, as he would leave for free at the end of the season.
Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira is desperate to keep Zaha, but the player has an ambition to play in the Champions League.
Chelsea had been in talks with Barcelona for a deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but Barcelona are seeking around £30m for the 33-year-old. And this is believed to have led to a breakdown in the transfer for now.
Chelsea are trying other options including Zaha as an alternative to the Aubameyang deal.
The transfer window closes on Thursday night at 11pm.
