‘Leave like De Bruyne and Lukaku- Chelsea player advised to leave Stamford Bridge
Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi has been urged to leave Chelsea on a permanent basis just like Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne.
This is according to former Belgium international Erwin Vandenbergh who thinks it’s time for Batshuayi to leave Stamford Bridge for good.
The Belgian striker is on loan at Crystal Palace, his fourth loan spell in four seasons.
He told Voetbalkrant: “In principle that would not be a bad choice for Michy.
“Romelu Lukaku also dared to leave Chelsea for West Bromwich and later Everton. If he hadn’t, he might not have been where he is now.
“We also saw the same with Kevin De Bruyne.
“Batshuayi has been in the Premier League for several seasons now and it doesn’t work. So it wouldn’t be a problem to take a step back.”
